Part of being in the NE Campus Cornerstone Honors program is giving back to the community. Cornerstonians must volunteer twelve hours per semester. They can do this by volunteering on campus in the Writing Center, mentoring younger students, say, middle-schoolers, or creating projects on behalf of committees and faculty members. One such project is for the upcoming Women's History Month Wish List Drive for the Fort Worth Women's Center. Cornerstonians will decorate the boxes and maintain the donations.
To be a member of the Cornerstone Honors program takes more than a good GPA and leadership abilities. It takes a willingness to work and be part of a community by giving back to the community.
It also means having fun.
